A Sunrise Session with the Rutledge Family

The Rutledge Family found me on a plane ride from NYC to Honolulu. The boys and I were taking a stretch break on the back of the plane when their dad asked me about Hawaii. After some time of chatting, we realized we were all eventually landing on Maui! Chris wanted to surprise his wife with family photos and so we secretly booked everything on the plane. After landing, Eddy & I realized he was also going to be on Maui the same morning I was going to be with the Rutledge’s, so he joined me for their photo session. We all woke up before dawn the day of the booking and met at White Rock Beach in Wailea, Maui. I think Liz was happy to finally meet this mysterious photographer from the plane (she and I never crossed paths on that flight) who was going to be with her family that morning. We all hit it off so well. The boys were a delight that morning enjoying the beach, the waves, the breeze and their parents hugs. They all got along so well with one another and Eddy grabbed some incredible BTS of them enjoy Maui during sunrise. I can’t thank this family enough for all of our laughter and play we had that morning. I have a feeling we will all see each other again someday on some beach somewhere…
